Sama Rooftop is a restaurant located in the heart of Acre’s Old City on top of a historical building. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking – a panoramic view of Old Acre, the sea and the surrounding landscape.

Mediterranean cuisine, mainly made of fresh sea food picked up daily from local fishermen is what Sama Rooftop is serving. From Mediterranean style ceviche, Arabic caprese to simply grilled calamari. Vegetarian options such as freekeh salad and simply grilled zucchini are also served, all to change according to the season and the available produce.

The intermediate floor (smoking area) has a smaller but cozier area, which includes a small, almost invisible, balcony that can also seat guests. The total capacity of the main rooftop area with bar and seating as well as the intermediate floor is approximately 60 guests.

Sama Rooftop is suitable for holding of small to medium sized events (parties etc) and other celebrations and events. Its position, cuisine and atmosphere makes it a preferred choice for holding many different events.

I will not return to this place nor recommend it to anyone, regardless of claims about great food. A restaurant that disrespects its guests undermines my trust in their cuisine, and a chef who doesn't intervene when guests leave also loses my confidence. We didn't even get dessert. On my birthday today, I reserved a table on the roof for sunset. We arrived at 5:45 PM for an 6:00 PM reservation and were told we could only enter at 6. When we returned at 6, nobody greeted us, so we climbed the stairs alone. Someone asked if we had a reservation and seated us—but not outside where we requested, as an event occupied the roof. Instead, we sat in a glass-enclosed area with poor quality windows that blur the view. For ten minutes they tried convincing us it was the same and also counted as the roof. The open roof itself is stunning with an incomparable view, but from the enclosed area you cannot see what's visible there. The staff refused to acknowledge the difference, was not apologetic, and presented it as if everything was identical.
