Joha – Cafe and Nursery in Har Gilo, Kosher Cafe

Joha is a kosher dairy café and event venue located in Har Gilo, offering panoramic views of the Judean Hills and Gush Etzion. The establishment is named in honor of Major Yohai "Joha" Kalangel, a commander in the Givati Brigade who fell in 2015.

The venue features a spacious wooden deck that accommodates up to 70 guests, making it suitable for small to medium-sized events such as birthdays, brit milah ceremonies, sheva brachot, henna parties, and conferences.

The café offers a diverse dairy menu, including fresh pastas, salads, and desserts. The kitchen is led by Chef Netanel Baruchim, who emphasizes innovative and precise culinary creations.

Joha also integrates plants from the therapeutic nursery "Derech HaGan," operated by the "Beit David" association, which supports women with special needs. The café sells these plants without profit, contributing to the community.

The venue operates under the supervision of the Gush Etzion Rabbinate, ensuring adherence to kosher dietary laws.

Joha is open Sunday through Thursday from 15:00 to 21:00, by prior arrangement. It is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
