We came to celebrate my mother's birthday with dinner, but ultimately it was not a successful experience and I doubt we will return. My mother avoids gluten, so the selection of suitable dishes was limited. She chose chicken breast, which was served very dry, and before that we waited a long time for the food to come out. When we asked to change the dish, they made the replacement without difficulty. Despite the replacement, the birthday dinner did not meet expectations.

Short summary: mediocre and predictable food, successful desserts, and prices that are too high. At a family dinner with about ten guests, the salmon was not bad but slightly dry; the potato base and orange sauce beside it contributed nothing and certainly don't justify the 100 shekel price tag. The gnocchi was ordinary and swam in creamy sauce. On the other hand, the desserts that evening were good: successful chocolate souffle with berries that added another layer, and a large, excellent apple crumble. On a second visit, Saturday morning, apparently my last, we encountered a limited breakfast menu. We ordered eggs Benedict with salmon past its peak and weak vegetable salad, all at inflated prices. We asked for whole grain or full bread — nothing available. In 2023 there are still cafes without proper bread; instead they offer something called brioche. Morning desserts were barely edible. Ultimately, the standard is low for a place relying on customers with no real choice.

The establishment's policy is confusing: they don't accept reservations for groups of more than 10 people. Two families together already exceed ten, so we asked to split into two tables - one for children and one for adults - but they refused that too. I tried explaining that we had no problem sitting that way, yet they still wouldn't agree. It's unclear what this is based on, and the impression was created that they simply don't want customers. Just absurd.

Following the recent menu update, the quality of the dishes has improved significantly. We have been coming here for dinner for years and also celebrate various family events here. I highly recommend it!
