Samarkand in Or Yehuda was the first restaurant in Israel to introduce Bukharian cuisine and hospitality to the public. Founded in 1995 by chef Eliyahu Pozailov from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, this family-run eatery lovingly preserves traditional Bukharian recipes passed down through generations.
